The climate transition has become a key pillar of Europe’s competitiveness agenda. Through initiatives such as the Competitiveness Compass and the Clean Industrial Deal, the European Union is linking decarbonisation, industrial policy and economic resilience to strengthen its position in the global economy.
This agenda is driving new measures to accelerate low-carbon investment, industrial innovation and access to financing. In this context, climate action is increasingly seen not only as an environmental imperative, but also as a source of business competitiveness and growth.
The event will present the main findings of ‘Climate Action in Spanish Companies’, the first study in Spain to assess the impact of corporate climate initiatives on competitiveness, including SMEs, while providing a forum for practical discussion on how businesses can leverage European funding and the evolving industrial policy framework to strengthen their competitive advantage in the new European industrial landscape.
