Industrial electrification in Spain must advance more rapidly to meet national climate and energy targets. However, limited energy storage capacity and insufficient grid flexibility remain key bottlenecks, hindering the deployment of stable and competitive electrified industrial processes.
At this event, we will present the report produced by the working group ‘Energy Storage to Drive Decarbonisation and Electrification’, held between April and July 2026. Through this initiative, alinnea brought together representatives from industry, public authorities, the financial sector, civil society organisations, regulators and energy system planners to build a shared vision of the technological, regulatory and investment needs related to energy storage.
